What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy applies to the MyEcho pre-launch website at myecho.pet, the Early Access waitlist, the Founding Member checkout, and related communications. The future MyEcho mobile app may have a separate, app-specific privacy notice before it launches, which will apply in addition to or in place of this notice where indicated.
Information we collect
We collect:
- your Early Access email address;
- your marketing consent choice and the timestamp of that choice;
- the version of this policy you agreed to;
- information you voluntarily send us by email;
- optional Founding Member name, memorial dedication, and wall preference if you later submit them;
- payment and transaction details received from PayPal, such as payer name, payer email, amount, status, and transaction ID;
- technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, security logs, cookie identifiers, and usage or analytics data only when enabled and legally permitted.
MyEcho Ltd does not receive or store your full card number or your PayPal password. Card processing is handled by PayPal and your bank.
Meta Pixel
With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) as an optional, consent-based technology to understand site use and measure advertising effectiveness. It is only loaded after you select "Accept all." Meta may process the collected data under its own terms and privacy policy — see the Meta Privacy Policy.
The MyEcho Pixel integration must not send, and is configured not to send: Early Access email addresses; PayPal names, payer emails, transaction IDs, and any payment or card details; Founding Member memorial or dedication text; pet profile or health information; free-text support messages; or any other sensitive personal data. Automatic advanced matching and any event parameter containing those values are not enabled unless a future separate review and a valid legal basis or consent specifically permit it.
How we use your information
- to manage your Early Access signup;
- to send essential waitlist, confirmation, launch-availability, security, and service messages related to your signup;
- to send optional marketing only where you have given consent and where required;
- to process, verify, and administer Founding Member payments and benefits;
- to handle refunds and support requests;
- to keep the site secure and prevent fraud;
- to meet legal and accounting obligations; and
- to improve the site and use analytics only under the appropriate legal basis; and
- with your consent, to understand site use and measure advertising effectiveness through the Meta Pixel (see the Meta Pixel section).
Legal bases we rely on
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Consent — for optional marketing, optional analytics where consent is required, and optional submissions you choose to send.
- Contract and pre-contractual steps — for Early Access signup, the Founding Member purchase, and related service communications.
- Legitimate interests — for site security, fraud prevention, and limited site improvement, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — for record-keeping and responses to lawful requests.
Sharing your information
We share information only as needed with:
- Base44, our website hosting and data infrastructure provider;
- PayPal as our payment provider; PayPal generally acts as an independent controller for its own services, and your use of PayPal is also subject to PayPal's privacy notice;
- email delivery and service providers;
- professional advisers and public authorities where legally required; and
- analytics providers, including Meta for the Meta Pixel, only when you have enabled them with the required consent; Meta processes Pixel data under its own terms and privacy policy;
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
International transfers
Your information may be processed in the countries where we and our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms, and we work to ensure providers apply suitable protections.
How long we keep information
- waitlist data is kept until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or 24 months after the public launch or your last meaningful interaction, whichever is appropriate;
- marketing consent evidence is kept as long as legally necessary;
- transaction and accounting records are kept up to 7 years or the period required by applicable law; and
- support and security records are kept only as long as necessary.
Your rights
Where applicable, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port your personal information, to withdraw consent, to opt out of marketing, and to complain to a competent supervisory authority. To exercise any right, contact us at Echo@myecho.pet.
Deleting your account and data
You can ask us to delete your MyEcho account and the personal data linked to it at any time: inside the app, with the form on our account deletion page, or by emailing Echo@myecho.pet. In the app there is a short grace period of up to 30 days in case you change your mind; after that your data is deleted. If you write to us, we confirm the request came from you and reply within one month. Payment and accounting records are kept for the period required by law, as described above. The account deletion page explains what we delete and what we keep.
Marketing and opt-out
We send optional marketing only if you have given consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us. Even without marketing consent, Early Access users may still receive essential waitlist, confirmation, launch-availability, security, or service messages directly related to their signup.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 16. Founding Member purchases require the buyer to be 18 or older, or to involve a legal guardian.
Third-party links
This site may link to PayPal, Amazon, and social networks. These third parties have their own privacy practices, which govern information you share with them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here and, where appropriate, notified to you.
